We look for researchers and engineers who have shipped ML systems to production and want to do it across several industries instead of one.

The work

Small teams. Real problems. Defined endings.

You'll work two or three programs a year, each with a clear question and a clear end. You'll spend time with the client's operators and engineers, not just their data. You'll write up what you found, including what didn't work. Then you'll hand the system over and move on.

Remote-first, with an office in Sterling, VA. Kickoffs and readouts are usually at the client.

Who does well here

What we look for.

  • You've taken at least one ML or LLM system from idea to production and kept it running.Required
  • You can explain a technical result to an executive without dropping the caveats.Required
  • You're comfortable saying a problem isn't worth solving.Required
  • You write clearly. Most of what we deliver is documents.Required
  • You've worked in a regulated industry.Helpful
